Can I safely install and run CR 8.5 on an XP Professional machine that
already has CR XI on it? I intend to keep the reports created in each version
serarate.

i have created a slick price list reports using Crystal Reports 10 and from
VB i am able to load it also with the help of members from discussion group
(Thanks!)

Is there a way to display an additional column of data in a report depending
on a value in the dataset ?

This one has me stumpped:
I have two linked databases (both excel). From one I pull Client Data, one
of which is a Provider ID. I then pull the Provider ID linked from the other
database. All of this is in the Details A box.

I think this is a dummy question, but I'm clueless, so here goes...
Let's say I have a "Customers" table that looks something like the
following:
CustID    Name                Enroll_Date            Initial_Sale_Date

I have a VB 6.0 application using Crystal Reports 10 (developer edition).
I've made a Package to my application and the problem is like that: on some
computers (not all)  when I try to show the report, my  application generate
a error message "Runtime Error 50000. Failed to load ...

Does anyone have a list of what dll's are REALLY needed for a client using
vb6 application and doing PDF exports.
It works fantastic on developemnt machine but with 6+ hours of trying to
find what dll's are needed on the client machines I am failing.

Is it possible to write an application that allows users to create or modify
the report contents / format?

I've designed it for a printer and has been running fine from one computer
in the office for years.  We've now added another person to print these

Can someone tell me why, when I try to open a database with a large number
of tables, via odbc, more then 60% of the tables are not shown?

I'm using CR.NET 2003 for a report based on the results of a stored
procedure.  The SP is in SQL Server 2000 and although it is complex, it runs
efficiently when run directly from the command line or from within Access.  
However, when run from Crystal it takes about 10 times ...
