Hi, Everyone.  I just Wonderring a difference of format() and format$()

Format (without the $ sign) returns a Variant with a sub-type of String;
Format$ returns a pure String value.

Rick supplied the answer but a word of advice: put your question in the body
of the post, not the subject, and use a simple subject indicating the topic.
Depending on ow people browse the group they may or may not read the subject
line so by using it you are cutting your chances of an answer.
