Get external IP address?

Can I get my external IP address using VB6?  I'm behind a router and all I
seem to be able to retrieve is my LAN address.  I'm after my public IP
address.  I've figured out a way to do it (don't laugh) by having VB send
me an email and then extract my external IP from the headers.  This works,
but seems very clunky indeed.

I've Googled and tried several examples with no luck at all.

Any clues would be appreciated.

Also clunky, but bring up www.whatismyip.com and extract that from the web
page.

Hmm.  That works, clunky or not.  I like it more than mine. Thanks.
