===========================================

Usually the problem goes away if you just supply the CD.

If it doesn't then Window's installer may have been corrupted by the Open
Office installation. Run the WinInstall Cleanup utility:
"Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

After that it is a matter of ferreting out the registry setting that
triggering it.
Download the reg monitoring tools from
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb842062.aspx
This will often help to catch "where".

If still no joy, then there may be some kind of component/file collesion
with Open Office... that's another story. No reason to go there until after
you tried the above.
