I am using Crystal Reports 8.

I opened a CR 8.0 report. I hit the F5 key to get my data. Now I
wanted to print on both sides of the page. ( Because the report is
just that big.)

Where in CR 8.0 is the option to print on both sides of the page???

Hi,

I only have experience with CR 10 or higher but I believe in 8 it should
work the same.
First you need to install the correct printer driver on the workstation
which you use for writing the crystal report.
Then you can go into the "Print setup" function from the File-menu. Now you
can use the properties button to set any specific printer feature (like the
double-sided option in your case).
When you save the report, this setting will be stored in the report. So when
the report is printed again, with the same (or compatible driver) it will use
the double sided option.

To be honest, I have actulay used the double sided option but I am using
this to print multiple print-outs of the same report.

It seems to be printer setup is not generic, For example if you set the
settings for printer A  to print on both side and try to print it up using
printer B which has same settings  as printer A still it prints differently.
Do you have any idea how to make it has a common settins

Hi,

https://boc.sdn.sap.com/files/cr_printer_driver_options.pdf

Here is a link to a document about how crystal is using printer. It looks
like you first need to make the printer with duplex option the default
printer in windows. Then start crystal reports and change the setting without
selecting another printer.

Hope the document is usefull.
