Hello! I would like to know how can i detect if windows xp firewall is running or not?, and if it not running give a user option to start it?. Another question, it is possible to disable automatic windows xp updates from my app in VB6? Thanks in advance. Hi Lucas, Concerning auto updates, there is a registry key (maybe a few) to do this. So if you do a google search for it, I'm sure u can find it. Then find yourself some code that can add registry keys in vb6. Just google and you can find it. Also, I think this post should go in microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion, I bet you'd get much better responses in there.
