Hi!

I'va made a COM object, which have to search into the client hard disk to
found some file and send data to a web service. With Internet Explorer 7 the
object works fine, but when the client tries to download it with Internet
Explorer 6 ( independtly with Windows 98 or Windows XP ) the control seems to
download fine but it doesn´t work ( in fact, it doesn't appears ).

Anyone knows the problem?

Define "doesn't work".

Once downloaded can you instantiate the control using another client
harness? If not, perhaps it has some dependencies that are missing. You
could try running depends.exe to find out...

Sorry for my explanation. Yes, once downloaded the control I can't use it.
The control has a TextBox and it doesn't appear in the web page. If is a
missing dependence, why it works perfectly on IE 7 and don't in IE 6? I've
tried to make a CAB with all the dependencies but still the same.

I guessing that you are testing on different machines. One machine may have
all the dependencies downloaded.

What are the results of using depends.exe?

If you use OLEVIEW, can you instantiate the control? If this test fails, it
strongly indicates either it is not registered properly or there is a
denpendency missing.
