Hi,

We just migrated from an NT 4 domain to Active Directory.  (Yes I not we're
not an early adopter ;-)

After the migration we get the following error when compiling every VB 6
COM+ DLL.

   "Error accessing the system registry"

We don't get this error if we compile them under an account that is a member
of the "Domain Admins" group.

Since it's not a good practice to use an admin account for general work;
what is wrong?

I can't seem to find any thing relevant in the KB.  About the closest thing
is an article about a permissions problem listing project references.
however, the project references list fine, this error only occurs during the
compile.

So you are saying this is normal behavior, and necessary??

Yep.

Part of compiling is registering the component and you need
access to parts of the registy that would be restricted for
normal users but not for admin users.
