no (vb6) data environment on windows xp

my windows 98 crashes so i installed windows xp.
when i installed vb6 on windows xp, i can not add a
data environment. how can i add data environment to my
my project. thanks.

Hi Brad,

Under the Project menu, select Components. Select Designer tab,you will see
add data environment then.
If it's not in that list, go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Designer and
manually re-register MSDE.DLL and MSDERUN.DLL.
If the files aren't there, then you have a VB installation issue.

i have re-registered the dll's and it appears on the designers tab.
