The little block of icons in the lower right of the screen.  For instance if
Norton Antivirus is turned on, there would be an icon for it there.  How do
you add these icons?

A code sample would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

You need to use the Shell_NotifyIcon API function to
achieve this.

The below link may give you an idea about what you need.
