UNION QUERY

Hello All,

A UNION SQL query is not updateable - fair enough.  Is there any way of
loading a UNION query into a client side ADO recordset and detatching the
recordset from the database, thus allowing it to be updated (the recordset).
NB There is a column with a unique value.

I've tried cloning the recordset and closing the original.  Obviously I'm
using the adOpenDynamic, adLockOptimistic parameters to open the recordset,
which I presume is right.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Tim

Do you mean updateable recordset but not underlying table(s)? If yes then
you can read discussion, which happened in this NG on Aug.2 this year with a
subject "Copy Recordset". There are, at least, two methods there, which
allow you to make a True, independent and totally disconnected, updateable
copy of recordset.
