Hi,

Can anyone tell me if the native version of ADO that ships with Win  Server
2003 supports Oracle's XML data type?  I want to use an XML data type in my
data type but I don't know where to begin.  Do I need a certain Oracle
driver (or should I say provider)?

Many thanks,
PJ

There is no built in XML data type in ADO so how ADO sees or deals with this
type depends on the manner the type is surfaced by the underlying provider.
You would have to look at the underlying provider documentation to know
this.

BTW, the Microsoft Oracle OLEDB Provider and ODBC driver that ships with
Windows Server 2003 does not provide native support for this type.
