Liebe Gemeinde,

wie heißt denn nur (Bezeichnung; Dateiname) das Steuerelement, ähnlich der
linken Seite des Windows-Explorers, um ein Verzeichnis / Ordner auszuwählen.

what is the technical term for  (i.e. Name; Filename) the Control  for
selecting
directories, which is similar to the left side of the windows-explorer?

The control used by explorer is l ListView, and is found in
"Microsoft Common Controls"

Be warned that this control doesn't know sh.t about files, or anything else
Its just a control. What you fill it with is completely up to you.
