An IRCd in Visual Basic?

I'm trying to make a nice small IRC network (64 users or less) and I can't
find the perfect IRCd, though Beware IRCd comes close. So I come up with
this stupid though: "Make your own IRCd". Is it feasable? Am I just wasting
my time? If not would any one like to join the project?

That depends entirely on you (and any other coders involved). I would
guess "yes", but then, I don't use VB for my network stuff.
